Buddy is a member of the Downstream Energy & Convenience Retail Investment Banking Group and is responsible for conducting financial, industry, and buyer research, creating valuation and financing models, and preparing selling and private placement memoranda.
Prior to joining Matrix, he interned with Raymond James in Nashville, Tennessee, where he worked in the C-Store and Fuel Product Distribution group, supporting investment banking transactions in the downstream energy sector. He also gained hands-on experience in lower-middle-market M&A advisory while working with Viking Mergers & Acquisitions.
Buddy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, with a B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance and later earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Accounting from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
