Matrix Capital Markets Group provided merger and acquisition advisory services to Clearfield, a Virginia-based waste disposal solutions company, on its sale to VLS Environmental Solutions, a company in sustainable waste management and environmental solutions and a portfolio company of I Squared Capital.

“The acquisition of Clearfield MMG aligns perfectly with our mission to expand VLS’ innovative and sustainable solutions,” John Magee, CEO of VLS Environmental Solutions, said. “By adding their expertise and facilities to our operations, we enhance our ability to provide comprehensive environmental solutions to a broader client base.”

Matrix’s services included valuation advisory, managing a confidential, structured sale process and negotiation of the transaction. The transaction was managed by William O’Flaherty, managing director, Matt Oldhouser, vice president and David Shoulders, managing director.
